This post is not made to make our wonderful image bad, but to reflect on it.
Okay. so I guess most or everyone of you know what happened yesterday.
About the serious reality. Hostage taking.
Police and Media. Both sides have their own faults for making it soooooo big deal.
First of all, it shouldn't be a big deal. It should be hidden, or, should I say, not shown to public. Media shouldn't make it live. Better yet, radio. Most of the tv stations are like nagpapagalingan. [Fine. I'll speak tagalog for better interpretation.] Talagang palapitan sila dun at nagpapagandahan ng kuha. Eh sempre, kung nakikita sila nung hostage taker, of course, he will have more guts to kill or do something terrible.
And about the police, they should have made a very wide space. And they should even have made it a secret to the public, and allow reporters to report after the scene. I even heard in the news that an innocent civilian was shot nung nagpapalitan ng putok ng baril. [Sorry for some wrong details. I realldy didn't watched it because I was scared of such news. I just got those from my teachers.]
Basta. Ayun. Both sides. FAULTS.
What can I say? Philippines' image to the world would be horrible. They would think that Philippines is a bad country.
One fault = EVERYONE'S FAULT.
Thank God. Those terrible news were covered by our country's representative in Ms. Universe--Ms. Venus Raj. [?] OH GO! GOOD LUCK! PROVE THEM THAT PHILIPPINES IS NEVER A HOME OF CRIMES!
